Team Vicar with responsibility for Langham, Braunston, Brooke, Hambleton and Egleton
The Bishop of Peterborough and the Team Rector of Oakham seek to appoint a confident and creative, community minded disciple maker to provide oversight of these parishes within the Oakham Team Ministry, which serves the county town of Rutland and nine surrounding villages. The team includes the Team Rector and a second Team Vicar (both recently appointed), two curates and nine licensed lay minsters, supported by a number of retired clergy. Rutland is the smallest of England’s counties, with attractive countryside surrounding its villages and market towns and within easy reach of the cities of Peterborough, Leicester and Nottingham, and there are excellent schools.
We are looking for:
• A priest willing to be flexible in the responsibilities they assume, as the new team discerns and seeks to deliver an evolving pattern of ministry
• A pastor offering care and oversight of these five villages, organising an appropriate provision of worship for them and ministering in particular to Langham Church School
• A team player, willing to engage fully in team meetings, worship, training and decision making and in team-wide mission focussed on growing the church
