Ride and Stride

Ride and Stride plays a vital part in the preservation of our many churches. Since both riding and striding is well beyond Meg and I we sat in the seats of welcome and refreshment at All Saints. The door was open in welcome, but certainly produced conditions that got progressively colder. Rain played a part in ensuring that many got quite wet and needed to dry out a bit before moving on. To undertake the journey through the county is heroic at the best of times – this year the participants certainly earned their sponsorship. A big thank you to all who took part and especially to Alan and those who sponsored him.

It was impressive to see the ‘progress cards’ of some who, by the time they got to Braunston for a lunch break had already achieved 30+ churches and had their minds set on achieving 50+.
