It is with sadness that as from the end of this term we are resting the Pram Service for a while. After some soul searching and prayer we have concluded that a pause is what is needed so that we can see a way forward. Since Jenni finished last summer, to take up a place at Theological College, we have been without a committed leader, so sadly attendance has dropped. With the increasing age of some of the ‘alternative granny’ helpers they have decided to retire to leave the way open for some younger volunteers. At the beginning of July we welcome two new curates to the parish, and it is hoped with their fresh enthusiasm this group will be reformed, probably on the first Monday after the Autumn half term. During this time, hopefully a younger member of the congregation or one of the present mums would be keen to take over with the full support of the clergy team. Many thanks to all who have supported the service over the years.
