The PCC meeting on 17 May was long but productive evening. Finance continues to be upmost in our considerations, with some promised income from the Stewardship Campaign not yet materialising. Fabric is in reasonable order, but the report of the Quinquennial inspection (16 May) was not yet available. Repairs to windows, some stonework and downpipes were necessary, and the Electrical Inspection (9/10 May) indicated the lighting to be unsatisfactory; this latter point is to be made a high priority for the PCC. Improvements to floodlighting, DAC permitting, is to be achieved prior to Armistice commemorations. Safe-guarding, Data Protection, Risk Assessment/Health and Safety are all concerns for the PCC – see full report. Good contacts are being maintained with Churches Together, with Deanery Synod and with other Groups within the Church; a report was received from Rev Iain about the Oversight of Pastoral Matters. Please don’t hesitate to contact me or any of your representatives for more information. Do read the full edition on the noticeboard. Marilyn Tomalin (john.tomalin1943@btinternet.com).
