Losing a loved one by death is painful. The grief may feel unbearable, complicated, last longer than you expect, or reappear later, perhaps in response to an anniversary or another source of stress.
Come and Chat Bereavement Support Group
The Come and Chat Bereavement Support Group meets on the last Friday of the month from 10.30 – 12.00 noon in the Parish Hall opposite All Saints Oakham (LE15 6AA). It is open to all who can travel to it, regardless of faith or when your loss happened. Come and share a cuppa and talk to trained volunteers and others who are also on the long road after bereavement. We can listen and signpost you to other services in the area. There is no need to book, just turn up on the day.
Remembering
Those who have recently died are prayed for, by name, in our services, and we also pray for those mourning their loss. First anniversary cards are sent to the next of kin listed in our church registers, to let people know they and their loved ones are remembered. Our churches also hold special Remembrance Services for all who have died around the time of All Souls (November 2nd). Look for details in our weekly newsletters.
