Langham News – July 2016

We are still hoping for some real summer weather for our two remaining out door based Church@4 services.  A tea in the Vicarage gardens on 17 July and on 21 August a picnic at 4, Melton Road, Langham (enough parking).  These services are for all, and everyone is welcome.  Bring some food – plenty of drinks available.  Guess there will also be food if too busy or forgetful to bring some!   If you play an instrument, however basically, do come and help with the hymns.

September sees few events in Langham, but on 1st October the Uppingham Jazz and Soul Band will be playing in concert in the church.  They were a huge success last time and we have been looking forward so much to hearing them again.  7.30 p.m.  Refreshments as always.

Harvest Festival is on October 9th.

Very odd to be thinking of Christmas in June…..but plans for our Christmas Tree Festival, December 2nd to 4th are already taking place.  If you, or anyone or organisation would like to decorate and display a tree do let the Vicar or on of the wardens know.

The Wheatsheaf is continuing to provide a wonderful meal on the first Tuesday in every month at 12.30.  Unfortunately the Noel Arms can no longer fill the other Tuesday slots.
