House for Duty Team Vicar with responsibility for Braunston, Brooke, Hambleton and Egleton

The Bishop of Peterborough and the Team Rector of Oakham seek to appoint a confident and creative, community minded disciple maker to provide oversight of these parishes within the Oakham Team Ministry, which serves the county town of Rutland and nine surrounding villages.  The team includes the Team Rector and a second Team Vicar (both recently appointed), two curates and nine licensed lay minsters, supported by a number of retired clergy.  Rutland is the smallest of England’s counties, with attractive countryside surrounding its villages and market towns and within easy reach of the cities of Peterborough, Leicester and Nottingham, and there are excellent schools.

We are looking for:

  • A teacher who can help us grow in spiritual wisdom
  • A pastor who will provide care and oversight for these four villages, organising an appropriate provision of worship for them
  • A team player, willing to engage in team meetings, worship, training, decision-making and mission focussed on growing the kingdom of God
