Hambleton News – September 2016

We are delighted to announce that St Andrew’s has been awarded a grant by the Listed Places of Worship Roof Repair Fund in the sum of £93,800. This is virtually half of what is needed to replace the largely Victorian roof and hopefully see the Church safe and watertight for at least another 100 years. The balance of the funding needed is nearly all in place, but we won’t know the exact cost until we have been out to tender. It is hoped to undertake the work between January and June 2017.

On Sunday, 14th August the Baptism of Matilda Georgia Reynolds, daughter of Robyn and Edward took place at St Andrew’s and the Service was taken by Rev Canon Julie Hutchinson.

On Sunday 9th October Hambleton village will be celebrating our Annual Harvest Festival at 5pm at St Andrew’s. The Service will be followed by a Harvest Supper and Auction in the Village Hall.
