Lands’ End are holding a campaign in October to raise money for the charity ‘Against Breast Cancer’, part of which involves creating a very large piece of bunting, each triangle of which will be bought by people for a pound, and which they will add to the final piece of bunting which will be on display in the Church on Friday 30 October. They are hoping local schools will get involved and decorate some triangles and there will also be pre decorated triangles for those less keen on doing their own. Each person buying a triangle be added into a raffle which will be drawn on the day, with prizes donated by local businesses, and there will also be a prize from amongst the children’s entries for best decorated triangle. There will be an opportunity to add a triangle yourself on the day, and refreshments will be available, and triangles are available in Oakham church now.
