AmazonSmile fundraising
I am very grateful to Monica Compton who, on behalf of the PCC, has registered All Saints Oakham for Amazon Smile fundraising. As of November 2020 AmazonSmile has donated £5.7 million to UK charities. The PCC is aware that not all will approve of using Amazon. In our recent discussions we noted the need to use the local High Street shops as much as possible and to monitor Amazon’s ethical and financial policies over the next year. If you use Amazon please help raise funds for All Saints Oakham by using the AmazonSmile website. 0.5% of the value of all eligible purchases will be donated to All Saints Oakham. AmazonSmile offers the same products and services at the same price as the conventional Amazon website.
You do not need to open a new Amazon account or submit further details. Simply search for AmazonSmile or enter smile.amazon.co.uk into your web browser. Once you are logged into your account click on the ‘supporting’ tab and use the search function to find and select: The Parochial Church Council Of The Ecclesiastical Parish Of All Saints Oakham (charity number: 1129880). To shop at AmazonSmile, simply return to smile.amazon.co.uk or activate AmazonSmile on your Amazon Shopping app (found under settings on your app once you have selected a charity for the first time via a web browser)
Amazon submits donations on a quarterly basis and updates will be given in the pewsheet notices.
