Volunteer Roles

As part of our commitment to faithful stewardship and promoting generous giving All Saints Oakham PCC is looking for two volunteers to help support the congregation in this area. If either role is of interest please speak to Stephen or Richard Plummer.

Legacy Giving Coordinator – this role is about helping people to think about leaving a financial gift to All Saints Oakham (or any church in the Oakham Team Ministry) through their will. Over the years we have benefited from the generosity of people who have made provision for our churches in their will. We are looking for someone who can promote this idea, create suitable information, and be a point of contact for those who would like to consider this and talk about it with someone in confidence. This role comes under the oversight of the PCC’s finance sub-committee.

Grant Application Coordinator – grants are widely available to churches for a variety of purposes, ranging from the repair of the building to supporting staff costs and buying new equipment. The grant application coordinator will work alongside the PCC, fabric committee and ministry team to identify projects which would qualify for grant funding. We are looking for someone who can prepare and submit grant application forms, build good relationships with local charities, and research other streams of funding. This role comes under the oversight of the PCC’s finance sub-committee.
