Following the market place stall in August, thanks have been received from Médecins Sans Frontières and Water Aid for donations of £110.19 and £26. Water Aid report as follows: ‘For girls like Chaltu from Mojo village in Ethiopia, your fund raising will change everything. Life in Mojo Village has been difficult. It is a rural village with limited access to water services. Women and girls like Chaltu would spend hours walking to collect water, which was contaminated and made the community ill. Then, everything changed. With help from supporters like you WaterAid was able to help the people of Mojo build water pumps and toilets in their community. The village has fresh running water for the first time, and young girls like Chaltu can now spend more time on their education. Chaltu is really looking forward to going back to school. She told us: “Some days, I had to spend the whole morning waiting in line until everyone before me got their jerry cans filled. By the time I got back home, it would have already been past school time. The teachers would punish me. But now that is going to be history.” Thanks to your kind donation, communities like Chaltu’s can be transformed.
