On the evening of the hottest day of the year, St Peter Brooke was the coolest place to be and where a full church was entertained by the Tudor Choir of Leicester, who performed a varied programme of wonderful music and song, including an amusing monologue entitled ‘How To Give the Cat a Pill.’ Afterwards we all enjoyed a superb selection of refreshments and drinks and for once were able to sit outside in the cool of the evening. Our grateful thanks must go to everyone who organised, designed, printed, cooked, served, provided facilities for the choir or helped in any way to make this such a successful evening. Not forgetting, of course, a big thank you to the several floral ladies whose magnificent displays adorned the church, and the choir for their great performance.
