Welcome to The Friends of All Saints’ Church, Oakham
The Friends of All Saints’ Church, Oakham is a charitable organization established in 1993. We warmly welcome anyone who wishes to be associated with All Saints’ Church, regardless of whether you attend church or live in the parish.
Our Activities
We organize a variety of visits and social events for our members, including:
- Visits: Explore interesting local churches, places of interest, locations with literary associations, coach trips to cathedrals, and even pantomime trips.
- Social Events: Enjoy a lunch with a speaker, the All Saints’ Tide Dinner or Lunch, the Shrovetide Party, and occasionally a concert or musical event.
Supporting Our Church
Through the sale of guidebooks, postcards, and other publications, we raise funds to assist in the preservation, maintenance, and improvement of the church buildings and churchyard. We also promote public interest in the church and its work within the community.

Important Notice for 2025 / 2026 Friends Schedule
At the 2025 AGM, Chairperson Liz Plummer and her board stepped down after many years of loyal and exemplary service. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Liz and her team for their efforts over the years.
Beth Harding has agreed to take an interest in The Friends moving forward and was elected as Chairperson at the meeting. Please note that Beth will not assume full activity across The Friends until early 2026 due to her recent retirement and existing commitments. She will make further announcements once she has reviewed the requirements and potential actions to be taken.
Rest assured, the All Saints’ Tide Dinner or Lunch (November 2025) and the Shrovetide Party (February 2026) will still go ahead.
