Langham News – May 2017

The Easter Sunday service was very well attended, and the egg hunt and quiz much enjoyed. It was good to have some vocal children present making the Family Service very meaningful.

Big Get-Together
This is a preview of a big·church event planned for 17th/18th June – to celebrate among other special events, the life of Jo Cox, Father’s Day and the official birthday of our Queen.

It is scheduled to start at 6.00p.m. on the Saturday with a welcome, drinks, games and music by the local band, the Porch Street Preachers. At 7.00p.m. there is to be a barbecue as well as bring and share food. There will be a bar. Then more music and dancing followed by a film – and finally an opportunity to camp down in the church overnight.

Next morning there will be Yoga with echoes of Sergeant Pepper (50 years old today) and Dad’s accompanied bike ride – and then breakfast. Finally an act of worship in the church.
