Langham News – June 2016

The Viennese Cafe morning, combining with it an open garden, live music, plant sales and hanging basket demonstration was a great success with record numbers, despite a rather chilly but dry day. We look forward to this event again next year!

The weekend of July 2nd and 3rd is our Feast Weekend. The church will be open and decorated throughout the weekend. Coffee will be served from 10-12 on the Saturday. The service on Sunday at 11.00am is a Baptism of baby Sam. All are welcome to this very special service.

The fete has unfortunately had to be cancelled, but the Street Party is still going ahead. This is to celebrate the Queen’s birthday. July 9th 6-11pm in Church Street (which will be closed for the event). Get together with friends, bring picnic, gazebos, tables etc. and just come. If you don’t feel like cooking or preparing the Wheatsheaf will provide hampers from £10.

Tuesday lunches at the Noel Arms will now not take place as Tracy has family problems, but the first Tuesday in each month will still be at the Wheatsheaf.

Church@4 had a short service followed by a barbeque. A noisy, meaningful and lovely event in Colin and Debbie’s garden. Church@4 on July 17th will be followed by a special tea in the Vicarage Garden to which all are invited – at 4p.m.
