The Friends Coffee morning in the Church Hall on Friday 2nd September was a great success. Coffee or tea and cake was the name of the game. Patsy and Janet worked hard at advertising and making the preparations. There was a large selection of delicious cakes from which to choose in some cases making the necessity to have a second piece! In return a donation could be made to Rainbows Children’s Hospice of Loughborough.
To gain more understanding of the work of the hospice an Ambassador came and circulated the tables explaining what Rainbows does. The result to date is an amazing £253 raised which will be presented on Thursday 3rd November at The Annual Tide Lunch when a Rainbows Ambassador will be present.
Thanks go to all who contributed and to all who attended making an excellent social occasion and raising an admirable amount of money to present to a very worthwhile and much needed charity.
