Oakham Clock Restoration Appeal

A fundraising appeal has been launched to preserve the historic clock in the tower at All Saints Oakham. Revd Hildred Crowther

Revd Hildred Crowther will be moving to Sheffield in early May to be nearer to her family, and we are holding a leaving service for her on Sunday 1st May at 10:30am at Oakham. We wish Hildred all the best for her move, and thank her for all that she has done in the Oakham Team over many years.

Easter Chicks

The sale of Easter Chicks was very successful thanks to the knitters and, of course, also the purchasers. In total the Mothers’ Union made a grand total of £140.20, and some of this money will go to the MU Emergency Fund.

Traidcraft & Jewellery Recycling

The funeral service of the late Mrs Hazel Wise, the widow of Randolph Wise, formerly Dean of Peterborough, will be at Oakham Parish Church on Wednesday 24th February at 11:30am. Ride and Stride Record Total

September’s Ride & Stride raised a record £22,571, and thanks go to all who took part in any way or supported the event. An excellent £11,548 of the total was raised in our own Team churches, of which the 50% refund (£5774) will shortly be received by the individual churches. A special edition of the Weekly Pewsheet will be produced for Christmas Eve & Christmas Day services, and the deadline for this and the Sunday 27 December (First Sunday after Christmas) edition will be Monday 21 December 11am. The outing to Anglesey Abbey listed in the Friends’ programme for early December has unfortunately had to be cancelled, as it proved impossible to make suitable arrangements.
